Lisbon.- Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo and Spanish-Argentine model and influencer Georgina Rodríguez have gotten married, as both confirmed through a post on their Instagram accounts.

The couple shared a photograph in which their hands appear with wedding rings and the message «C , thus confirming a wedding that had been long awaited by their followers.
Ronaldo and Rodríguez had announced their engagement a year ago, after almost a decade of relationship and several children together.
The news generated great expectation among the couple’s followers, to the point that hundreds of people went last Saturday to the cathedral of Funchal, the footballer’s hometown in Madeira, due to rumors that the ceremony would be held there.
Weeks earlier, rumors had also circulated that the wedding would take place in the Lisbon metropolitan area.
With the post made this Tuesday, Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez finally confirmed that they took the step to the altar, putting an end to months of speculation about the date and location of the ceremony.
