Cleveland, United States. – The Brazil national team defeated Egypt 2-1 this Saturday in their last friendly match before the 2026 World Cup, in a match played at Huntington Park Field that left good feelings for the team led by Carlo Ancelotti.
The Canarinha quickly took the lead on the scoreboard thanks to a defensive error by Egypt that Bruno Guimarães capitalized on just seven minutes into the match.
However, Egypt reacted shortly after following a mistake by defender Marquinhos, whose risky pass was intercepted by Mostafa Ziko, who finished without difficulty past goalkeeper Alisson Becker to level the match in the 11th minute.
Brazil maintained control of the ball and the offensive initiative for much of the match, although they had to wait until the second half to regain the definitive lead.

The young forward Endrick appeared in the 52nd minute to score the 2-1 after finishing a great assist from Raphinha inside the box, once again confirming his importance in the Brazilian attack.
The match was also marked by the absence of Neymar, who continues to recover from a calf injury and remains a doubt for Brazil’s World Cup debut against Morocco on June 13th.
The Brazilian Football Confederation reported that the Brazilian star will undergo an MRI to determine the progress of the injury, while coach Carlo Ancelotti remains hopeful of having him available during the group stage.

In addition to Morocco, Brazil will face Haiti and Scotland in Group C of the World Cup.
For its part, Egypt, led by Mohamed Salah, who entered in the second half, will continue its preparation before debuting in the tournament against Belgium on June 15.
