MADRID. – The temperature in Spain is marked by intense heat during the night of this Wednesday, July 3, 2025, with lows between 22 and 25 degrees Celsius and mostly clear skies. The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has active heat warnings in regions such as Madrid, Catalonia, and Andalusia.

The heat will not let up in the night hours, according to updated weather forecasts. High temperatures will persist in key cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Seville, generating conditions of thermal discomfort that could affect the rest and health of vulnerable people.

Madrid

The capital will register a minimum of 22 °C with clear skies. The AEMET maintains a yellow alert for extreme temperatures. It is recommended to avoid outdoor activities during the night, stay well hydrated and ventilate indoor spaces.

Barcelona

In the city of Barcelona, a partially cloudy night is expected, with minimum temperatures around 25 °C. A yellow warning for heat is also maintained, especially in coastal areas. The thermal sensation will be high due to humidity.

Valencia

The sky will be clear and the environment dry, with a minimum temperature forecast of “25 °C”. Although there is no active alert during the night, a hot night is anticipated, with possible discomfort for sleeping.

Seville

The hottest city of the day, with a high of 42 °C during the afternoon, will experience a suffocating night, with a low of 22 °C. The orange alert for extreme temperatures extended until night, with specific recommendations to protect against heatstroke.

The health and meteorology authorities advise:
  • Drink water frequently, even without feeling thirsty.
  • Avoid alcoholic or sugary drinks.
  • Cool the home by opening windows at night and closing blinds during the day.
