Bukele offers help from El Salvador to Colombia after strong earthquake
San Salvador.- The president of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, expressed his solidarity with Colombia following the strong 7.4 magnitude earthquake recorded this Monday morning and assured that his Government is ready to provide assistance in the face of the emergency.
Through a post on his social media, Bukele noted that Salvadoran authorities are monitoring the consequences of the earthquake and extended his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives, as well as to the injured and others affected.
“Colombia has emergency and rescue teams in the affected areas, and we trust in their ability to respond to this emergency,” the president wrote.

However, he indicated that El Salvador maintains communication with Colombian authorities and is prepared to send, if necessary, rescue teams, doctors, paramedics, and supplies, in addition to any other type of aid that Colombia considers necessary.
