Archdiocese of Santo Domingo calls for mass on the first anniversary of the tragedy at Jet Set

Santo Domingo. – The Archdiocese of Santo Domingo convened the celebration of a Holy Mass on the occasion of the first anniversary of the tragedy that occurred at the Jet Set nightclub, in an act of faith, memory and solidarity dedicated to the victims. The Eucharist will take place on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 5:00 PM, in the so-called “Ground Zero,” the place where the unfortunate event that deeply impacted Dominican society occurred.

According to the Church, the ceremony aims to offer prayers for the eternal rest of the deceased, as well as provide spiritual comfort to their families and all those affected by the tragedy. The call is framed as a call for reflection, unity, and hope, on the occasion of the first anniversary of one of the most painful episodes that has marked the country in recent times.
