(COOPMAIMÓN) held its XXXV Ordinary General Assembly and XXVIII General Assembly by Delegates this Sunday, in an event that brought together delegates, authorities from the national and international cooperative sector, and representatives of public and private institutions.
n” “nDuring the meeting, presided over by Lic. Ramón Alberto Cabral, Chairman of the Board of Directors of COOPMAIMÓN, the cooperative presented its Institutional Report for the 2025 fiscal year, which reflected sustained growth in its main financial indicators and a strengthening of its social impact.
n” “nAccording to the data presented during the Assembly, COOPMAIMÓN’s total assets reached RD$39.355 billion at the close of 2025, representing a 23% growth compared to the previous year. The credit portfolio exceeded RD$31.751 billion, while institutional equity rose to RD$24.180 billion, for a growth of 25%.
n” “nMember contributions reached RD$15,407 million, also with an increase of 25%. Total surpluses for the fiscal year amounted to RD$4,436 million; after making the corresponding provisions for reserves and bonuses, the net surpluses to be distributed among members amounted to RD$3,198 million, a growth of 21% compared to the previous year.

Irma Mercedes Grullón, highlighted that the institution currently holds first place in assets among open savings and credit cooperatives in the Dominican Republic, backed by more than 9.8 million transactions carried out during the year and a team of more than 350 employees.
n” “n“The support that our associates have given us since day one has allowed CoopMaimón to achieve important institutional milestones. Today we occupy first place in assets among open savings and credit cooperatives in the Dominican Republic,” expressed Grullón.
n” “nThe general manager also presented the main institutional performance indicators, highlighting a productive asset index of 98.62%, a return on equity of 13.29%, a return on assets of 8.13%, an operating ratio of 82.91%, and a net profit of 65.37%. Regarding capital and liquidity, the institution recorded a solvency of 2.57% and an availability of 62.85%.

n” “nDuring his speech, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Lic. Ramón Alberto Cabral, highlighted that COOPMAIMÓN currently has more than 190,000 members, supported by a network of 11 offices distributed across 7 provinces and the National District.
n” “nCabral also highlighted that, during 2025, the cooperative carried out 2,734 social impact actions, directly benefiting 130,875 people, through an investment of RD$163.3 million in educational, cultural, sports, environmental, health, social assistance, and community development programs.
n” “nIn the educational area, the institution executed more than a hundred training actions aimed at associates, leaders, collaborators, and members of the communities.

n” “nDuring the event, COOPMAIMÓN held a special recognition for the outgoing directors of its governing bodies: Ramón Antonio Díaz Guzmán, Domingo Antonio Rodríguez, Germania Santana, and Yeidy Rancel Velásquez Martínez, from the Board of Directors, and José Luis Saldaña, from the Supervisory Council, for their contribution during their term of office.
n” “nLikewise, the cooperative presented special recognitions to sister and allied institutions for their historical support, including Cooperativa La Altagracia, the Cooperative of Employees and Professors of the UASD (COOEPROUASD), Cooperativa San José, and the Technological University of the Cibao Oriental (UTECO).

n” “nAs part of the assembly proceedings, led by delegate David Israel Polanco, the delegates reviewed and approved the reports from the Board of Directors, the Supervisory Council, and the Credit Committee corresponding to the 2025 fiscal year.
n” “nThe day also included the election of the Electoral Commission and the new members of the cooperative’s governing bodies, who were sworn in during the same event.
