In the civil sphere, the court upheld the lawsuit filed by Anibelca de los Ángeles Camilo Marte, mother of the deceased minor, and jointly ordered the six defendants to pay RD$10 million as compensation for the damages caused.
Furthermore, it declared the civil party constitution presented by Sergio Luis Feliz Mancebo and María Elida Batista Rivas to be good and valid, establishing in their favor a symbolic compensation of one peso.
