Santo Domingo.- The Ministry of Public Health reported that it will deliver this Monday the first dose of the medication required by the child Dayron Almonte Socias, following the appeal made by his family, who warned that the minor only had two days of treatment left.
The decision was announced by the institution in a statement, in which it explained that the delivery responds to the urgency of the patient’s clinical condition, while the process of acquiring the treatment for the other patients incorporated into the program is completed, “with the greatest possible speed and in accordance with the corresponding legal, regulatory, and administrative procedures.”
The Public Health response comes after the concern expressed by the minor’s relatives, who warned that the interruption of the medication would put the child’s life at risk due to the severity of his illness and only two doses of the treatment remained.

In the statement, the entity specified that the first dose will be provided immediately to ensure the continuity of Dayron Almonte Socias’ treatment, while the purchase process for the medication for the other beneficiaries moves forward.
