National Police in Jarabacoa arrests woman accused of assault, battery, and threats

Jarabacoa, La Vega.– The National Police reported the arrest of a woman accused of alleged violation of several articles of the Dominican Penal Code, related to association of wrongdoers, blows and voluntary injuries, as well as threats. The detainee was identified as Yordania Medina Serrano, who is accused of the alleged violation of articles 265, 266, 305, 309 and 479 of the Dominican Penal Code, to the detriment of citizens Awilda del Carmen Abreu Canela, Johann María Pichardo Ureña and Yibely Altagracia Quiroz Romero. The arrest took place in compliance with judicial order No. 1872-2025-SAUT-00572, dated December 22, 2025, and was executed by members of the Criminal Investigations Division (DICRIM) of the National Police in Jarabacoa.

The intervention took place on the main street Monseñor Rafael Mauricio Vargas, specifically at a gas station in this city. After her arrest, Medina Serrano was placed at the disposal of the Jarabacoa Prosecutor’s Office, where she will be subjected to the corresponding legal proceedings.
