Santiago. – The National Police reported that, following an extensive surveillance operation in coordination with the Public Ministry, the last four men accused of drugging and sexually abusing a young woman in the municipality of Villa González, Santiago province, were arrested early this morning. The act was recorded and disseminated on social media.
The operation was led by General Juan Bautista Jiménez Reinoso, Cibao Central regional director, who ordered the deployment of a police contingent to execute the arrest warrants issued against those accused.
The detainees are Yamir Fernando Pérez Toribio (a) Ferere, Javier Eduardo Núñez Toribio (a) Bebe, Oniel Rafael Pichardo Martínez (a) Contreras and Delfry de Jesús Rodríguez (a) Yiyo.
Regarding the same case, yesterday afternoon the well-known criminal José Alfonso Rubiera Rodríguez, 29 years old, surrendered at the National Police Palace in Santo Domingo, while Edwin Manuel Castro Guzmán (a) Guaro later did the same in Santiago, through the Central Directorate of Investigation (DICRIM).
The National Police reiterated that this case has been handled with the utmost priority and the six defendants have already been placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, for the corresponding legal purposes.
