ProDominicana will recognize companies that drive foreign investment during the Americas Investment Forum 2026

Santo Domingo.– The Export and Investment Center of the Dominican Republic (ProDominicana) announced that it will recognize companies that have made significant contributions to the strengthening of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the country, during a special ceremony to be held within the framework of the Americas Investment Forum 2026.

The recognition ceremony will take place on July 1st at the JW Marriott Hotel Santo Domingo and is part of the forum’s official agenda, which is considered one of the main spaces for promoting investment in the region. The initiative seeks to highlight the impact of companies in areas such as job creation, innovation, knowledge transfer, and sustainable development.

During the ceremony, outstanding projects will be distinguished in categories related to investment attraction, business development, sustainability, and innovation. The sectors represented include tourism, energy, medical device manufacturing, agribusiness, construction, commerce, financial services, and sustainability, among others.

The executive director of ProDominicana, Biviana Riveiro Disla, stated that the recognition constitutes an opportunity to highlight the contribution of foreign investment to national economic growth and strengthen the country’s image as a safe and competitive destination for business.

“Carrying out this recognition within the framework of the Americas Investment Forum represents a strategic showcase to project the competitive advantages of the Dominican Republic to global investors, strengthen confidence in our investment climate, and continue positioning the country as one of the most attractive destinations for doing business in the region,” the official expressed.

The Americas Investment Forum 2026 will bring together business leaders, investors, multilateral organizations, government representatives, and international experts to analyze the trends that are transforming the global investment landscape and explore new opportunities for economic development in the Americas.

According to the organizers, the event will feature more than 50 speakers from over 25 countries, including strategic markets for the Dominican Republic such as the United States, China, the United Arab Emirates, Spain, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Switzerland, and Colombia, among others.

The broad international participation reaffirms the Dominican Republic’s positioning as a regional hub for investment and trade, consolidating its role as a meeting point for the creation of strategic alliances that drive sustainable economic growth and competitiveness in the region.
