Santo Domingo.– Pastor Yesenia Then responded this Tuesday to the questions raised regarding the management of the resources of the Soplo de Vida Christian Ministry and Center, following a journalistic report that posed questions about its operations. The religious leader assured that the organization complies with its tax obligations, manages its resources with transparency, and is willing to submit to any audit by the competent authorities.
Through a video posted on her digital platforms, the religious leader explained that she waited several days before speaking out because she sought to offer a response based on evidence.
“It was not just about reacting, but about responding at the right moment and in the right way, not with empty arguments, but with concrete evidence,” he/she expressed.
Then denied the versions indicating that the church had used a tax exemption to avoid paying taxes and stated that the Soplo de Vida Christian Center does not currently have that benefit.
“The Breath of Life Church is up to date with all its tax obligations before the General Directorate of Internal Taxes,” he assured.
The pastor explained that the same condition applies to the other projects that are part of the ministry, including the Trasciende Training and Education School, whose tax obligations, as she indicated, are also up to date.
During his speech, Then also addressed the Ciudad Refugio project, an initiative created to provide care for vulnerable children. He explained that the planned construction in Boca Chica remains pending due to the land titling process.

“Everything is arranged, everything is ready, but we do not have the permits to build because the land titles are not yet available,” he stated.
While that process concludes, he reported that the ministry is developing a pilot plan endorsed by the National Council for Children and Adolescents (CONANI), where girls under the protection of that institution are currently receiving care, with services for housing, education, medical assistance, and psychological support.
In another part of her message, the pastor assured that the donations received by the ministry are managed by a financial committee and stated that those resources are not used for her personal support.

“The church is not the one that supports me financially,” he expressed.
Then indicated that their income comes mainly from the content they publish on digital platforms and from the sale of their books, while reiterating that the ministry has mechanisms to account for the management of its resources.

At the conclusion of her speech, Yesenia Then assured that the organization will continue to develop its projects and reiterated her willingness for its operations to be reviewed by the corresponding authorities.
“All our projects and the purposes for which they were authorized are open to be audited by the competent authorities if necessary,” he concluded.
