The National Police reported that, after search, tracking, and intelligence work, Raudy Jiménez Dicent (a) “Ayendi”, 24 years old, was voluntarily surrendered, who is identified as the alleged responsible for the death of the adolescent Abril de Jesús Puello, 16 years old. The young man’s surrender took place on the night of this Friday in Villa Altagracia, through a family member, after the authorities kept his location active within the framework of the investigations. The event occurred in the Los Arrayones community of Básima, in the aforementioned municipality of the San Cristóbal province, a case that has been taken up by the authorities in coordination with the Public Ministry. According to the preliminary report, the detainee was actively sought for their connection to the event, while investigations continue to develop to clarify the circumstances of the incident.

The National Police also indicated that they are awaiting the official results of the autopsy performed by the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF), with the aim of conclusively establishing the cause of death of the minor. Also, the body of the order indicated that the detainee will be placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office for the corresponding legal purposes.
