Haina, San Cristóbal.– The Minister of Tourism, David Collado, supervised this Tuesday the construction of the urban park in Haina, which is being built with an investment of 165 million pesos, and announced that it will be delivered in the coming days.
The project, which will directly impact the development of tourism in this municipality of the San Cristóbal province, consists of the construction of an urban park within the Haina industrial zone, with a total intervention area of 27,700 square meters.
A design proposal formed by large terraces adapted to the morphology of the area, divided into an access plaza of 4,553 square meters; in addition, a large green area of 14,000 square meters and 4,063 square meters for recreational and sports leisure area.
“We are here, as is our custom, to supervise this important work that will have a direct impact on the population and that was a long-standing demand of the residents in Haina”, said Collado.
He assured that works like that give a radical change to the communities and become attractions for residents and visitors.

The official stated that a care committee will be created for the work and called on Haina businessmen to sponsor the project and ensure its maintenance.
The project includes landscaping throughout the park and will feature the construction of 570 linear meters of pedestrian paths, parking for 46 vehicles, a children’s recreation area, urban furniture, a basketball court, and an amphitheater.
Likewise, it covers road intervention and the change of section of the main streets surrounding the park.

The work is directed by the Executing Committee for Tourist Zone Infrastructure (Ceiztur).
The Ministry of Tourism has made a total investment in this municipality of Haina of more than RD 300,000,000 in various works.
The intervention also contemplates, in a second stage, the construction of a community center to offer services to the residents in Haina.
