Government of the DR and Arajet transport humanitarian medical aid to Venezuela

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. – Arajet, the Dominican flag carrier, conducted a special humanitarian flight to Venezuela to transport aid and medical supplies destined for the communities affected by the recent earthquake that occurred in that country.

The humanitarian mission was carried out in coordination with the Government of the Dominican Republic through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MIREX) and was led by the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Public Health.

In addition to the transfer of medical personnel, medical equipment, medicines, and a mobile hospital were included, which will contribute to strengthening the response capacity of the Venezuelan authorities in the areas affected by the natural disaster.

This initiative is part of the joint efforts between the government of the Dominican Republic and Arajet to provide timely assistance to those affected, reaffirming the bonds of solidarity and cooperation that unite both nations in times of need.

This humanitarian mission comes to bring hope, support, and assistance to the communities affected by this tragedy,” stated José Gregorio Cabrera, Vice President of Communications and Public Relations at Arajet.

Within the transferred aid, there were also medical supplies and essential materials donated by private organizations.

After completing the delivery of the assistance, the flight returned to the Dominican Republic with passengers who returned in an operation coordinated with the competent authorities of both countries.
