National Police arrests two men accused of multiple assaults in La Vega

La Vega, R.D. – The National Police arrested two alleged criminals who are accused of having perpetrated several armed robberies in La Vega, including a robbery at a hair salon and another at a cockfighting arena, events that occurred on 09-13-2025. This is about Kreylin Omar Delgado Jiménez and Fraylin de Jesús Valerio Delgado, who were arrested after voluntarily surrendering under arrest warrant No. 2025-AJ0061967, dated 09-16-2025.

The detainees are identified as responsible for a robbery at a hair salon, where, carrying firearms, they stripped one of the victims of clothing, the sum of RD$61,000.00 and US$1,800.00. During the event, one of those involved remained at the door with a shotgun, forcing the other people present to throw themselves to the ground. The victim recognized both detainees during the investigative process. They also face another accusation for an assault that occurred on the same day at a cockfighting ring in the Los Corozos Arenoso sector, where they robbed a citizen of a 14-karat diamond ring, under threat with firearms. In this case, the victim fully identified the defendants. When reviewed in police files, Delgado Jiménez and Valerio Delgado have extensive criminal records. Both were placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry, for the corresponding legal purposes.
