Juan Dolio.- The official Guinness World Records adjudicator for Latin America, Alfredo Arista, explained that the Planeta Alofoke project obtained two world records after completing an uninterrupted 55-day broadcast and maintaining more than one million views for 10 consecutive days.
Arista indicated that the first recognition corresponds to the longest live video streaming in the world, while the second was awarded for recording the highest number of consecutive days exceeding one million views per day.
“Today we are making the delivery because this is a record that has been certified for several consecutive days. There were two Guinness World Records attempts and both were successfully validated,” he explained.
The organization’s representative highlighted that, since it is a world record, any person or platform wishing to surpass it must take the mark established by Planeta Alofoke as a reference.
“First they have to see that the Dominican Republic and Planeta Alofoke are the current record holders and then try to surpass it with all the technical difficulties that a broadcast of this magnitude implies,” he pointed out.

Regarding questions about the authenticity of digital metrics, Arista assured that Guinness World Records applies rigorous verification mechanisms before certifying any record.
He explained that the organizers had to submit technical documentation, YouTube Analytics reports, and other auditable records that would allow verifying the number of views and interactions obtained during the broadcast.

Furthermore, he indicated that the process included the participation of experts and independent witnesses external to the production, who supervised compliance with the established requirements to avoid irregularities or the use of artificial mechanisms that could alter the results.
“All these amounts are audited and verified by external experts to ensure that the record was obtained legitimately,” he concluded.
