Berlin.- The Ukrainian Army’s drone forces struck 17 oil tankers, two gas tankers, and a tugboat in the Black Sea between Tuesday night and Wednesday, reported the commander of this branch of the Ukrainian armed forces, Robert Brovdi.
“The score has been opened: during the night of July 15, the first 20 oil tankers were shot down in the Black Sea,” wrote Brovdi, also known as ‘Magyar’ due to his Hungarian origin, noting that “the first round of the naval battle has concluded,” with 116 vessels of the Russian ghost fleet hit in the Sea of Azov.

According to the head of the Unmanned Systems Forces, “so far today, 17 oil tankers, 2 gas tankers, and 1 tugboat have been shot down.”
“20:0”, he pointed out, and added that, therefore, “the total count of the naval battle during the operation, from July 6 to 15, amounted to 136 units of the Russian Federation’s ghost fleet” struck by Ukrainian forces.
Brovdi explained on Monday that the ships being hit in what he called on Tuesday the “first round of the naval battle” in the inland Sea of Azov—a shallow body of water that connects to the Black Sea through the Kerch Strait—are of small and medium size.
Those vessels are the ones Russia uses to transport crude oil from larger tankers that cannot enter the ports of the Sea of Azov, precisely because of their size.
