AFI Popular’s open-ended funds exceed RD$13.5 billion

The Popular Investment Fund Administrator (AFI Popular), a subsidiary of Grupo Popular, reported that its open-ended investment funds manage assets exceeding RD$13.598 billion.

With figures updated to July 2026, the three funds bring together 4,654 contributors, including individuals and companies that use these instruments to manage liquidity surpluses and diversify their investments, obtaining a return that is positioned above their benchmark indices.

AFI Popular’s open-ended fund offering seeks to facilitate access for individuals and companies to professionally managed instruments, with options in pesos and dollars adjusted to different liquidity, duration, and diversification needs.

In this way, the aim is to expand the participation of new investors in the Dominican stock market, bringing investment solutions closer to individuals and companies with different levels of capital and financial objectives.

Equity and participation by fund

The Popular Liquidity Fixed Income Open Investment Fund, denominated in Dominican pesos, concentrates the largest volume of resources, with assets of RD$8.62 billion. It is oriented towards liquidity management through financial instruments and public offering securities, under risk diversification criteria.

For its part, the Popular 30-Day Dollar Term Open Investment Fund records assets of US$66.9 million. Its strategy seeks to preserve invested capital and generate returns in dollars.

Meanwhile, the Plazo 30 Días Pesos Popular Open Investment Fund manages RD$1.094 billion. Designed to preserve capital and generate returns in local currency, it completed its first year of operations in May 2026.

Performance of open-ended funds at the end of July

At the close of July 2026, open-ended funds maintained a robust performance, with the Popular Liquidity Fixed Income Open Investment Fund standing out with 8.97% and the Popular 30-Day Peso Term Open Investment Fund with a return of 10.35%.

For its part, the Popular 30-Day Dollar Term Open Investment Fund recorded a return of 3.54%, in line with the conditions observed in the dollar fixed-income market.

“The volume of assets under management and the participation of more than 4,654 contributors together reflect the trust of individuals and companies in investment vehicles professionally managed by our AFI Popular specialists,” stated Mr. José Cuervo, Vice President of the Securities Market Subsidiaries Area.

He added that AFI Popular will continue to expand access to the stock market through products backed by professional, diversified, and transparent management.
