Banreservas and the Dominican Embassy in France hold a conversation with Melissa Roedán at the diplomatic headquarters

Paris. – Banco de Reservas and the Dominican Embassy in France held a conversation with the artist Melissa Roedán at the diplomatic headquarters, a meeting that brought together members of the Dominican community residing in this European city. The opening of the event was led by Ambassador David Puig, who also served as moderator in the dialogue with the artist.
For his part, Ysidro García, Senior Executive Vice President of Business at Banreservas, representing the executive president, Dr. Leonardo Aguilera, thanked those present for their attendance and reiterated the entity’s support for the promotion of Dominican arts and culture. “On behalf of our CEO, Dr. Leonardo Aguilera, I want to express our commitment to continue supporting Dominican artistic and cultural expressions in all their manifestations. Likewise, we reaffirm our closeness to the diaspora in every corner of the world,” said Garcia. Ambassador David Puig highlighted the importance of strengthening cultural ties from the diplomatic mission. “The presence of Melissa Roedán in this embassy is part of an agenda of cultural activities that we will be developing during the rest of the year, with the purpose of bringing our community in France closer to the artistic richness of the country,” the diplomat emphasized. The executives of Banreservas, Yubelkis Ramírez, Vice President of Marketing; Daniel García Archibald, Vice President of Public Relations; and Judith Rubiera, Director of Tourism Business, also participated in the activity. During the conversation, Roedán spoke about his works grouped under the title “Melissa 20”, which refer to his two decades of artistic career. For this occasion, the exhibition presented at the Banreservas stand at the International French Travel Market (IFTM) – Top Resa 2025 fair was called “Moments”, a selection that reflects different stages of his career and his ability to transform the everyday into art. “These creations are a way of turning daily experience into meaningful pieces. I am deeply grateful to show them on an international stage like Top Resa, thanks to the support of Banreservas,” expressed the artist. Likewise, he valued the support received from the financial institution: “Banco de Reservas has trusted in my work and that of many other creators, projecting the Dominican Republic in the most important tourist fairs in the world. That commitment is essential for our culture to transcend borders,” added Roedán.
