Santo Domingo.- The General Directorate of Traffic Safety and Land Transportation (Digesett) reinforced the deployment of agents at various points in Santo Domingo this Saturday, with the purpose of facilitating vehicular circulation during the activities corresponding to the closing day of the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026.
The operation seeks to reduce traffic difficulties and ensure the safe movement of athletes, delegations, and citizens traveling to the areas where the final competitions of the sporting event are taking place.
The agents were distributed at strategic points to regulate traffic, guide drivers, and keep the main roads that could experience an increase in vehicular flow clear.
The institution urged drivers to drive with caution, respect the agents’ instructions, and pay attention to the signage temporarily placed in the intervened areas.
Traffic authorities also recommended that citizens take into account possible restrictions and plan their trips in advance to avoid delays.

The deployment is part of the road safety plan implemented during the Central American and Caribbean Games, which have required special mobility measures in different parts of the country.
Digesett reiterated that its personnel will remain on the roads while the scheduled activities take place, with the goal of maintaining organized and safe traffic flow during the closing of the sporting event.
