Guayaquil.- The President of Ecuador, Daniel Noboa, declared three days of national mourning this Wednesday following the death of the director of the National Intelligence Center (CNI), Michele Sensi-Contugi, and his wife, Stephany Hollihan, in a helicopter accident that occurred in Kenya.
Through an executive decree signed from China, where the president is on an official visit, Noboa indicates that the days of mourning will be Thursday, Friday, and Saturday; and that the country’s flag must remain at half-mast on all public buildings.

The Director of Intelligence and his wife lost their lives this Wednesday in an accident that left seven dead (six passengers and the pilot), after the helicopter they were traveling in crashed at 09:13 local time (06:13 GMT) in Samburu County, near Mount Ololokwe, according to the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA).
