Santiago.- The Judicial Office of Permanent Attention Services of Santiago imposed three months of preventive detention against Danyerin Silverio Méndez, known as “Carolina” or “Marola,” accused of stealing RD$1,110,000 from a vehicle parked in front of a commercial establishment in the Los Ciruelitos sector of this city.
The measure was issued by judge José Rafael D’Asís Burgos, who accepted the Public Ministry’s request and ordered that the accused serve the coercion at the Rafey Women’s Correction and Rehabilitation Center, in Santiago.
According to the investigation, the robbery occurred on June 30, 2026, in the vicinity of the La Placita market in this city, when the owner of the money was unloading merchandise at his business.

The authorities maintain that the sum was wrapped in a plastic cover and was subsequently located inside a vehicle linked to the case.
