Santiago.- Judge Yiberty Polanco, of the Judicial Office of Permanent Attention Services of the Judicial District of Santiago, imposed three months of preventive detention this Wednesday on Anderson Olivo Casimiro, alias “Caco”, accused of causing the death of a woman whose body was found in a ravine in the La Emboscada sector, in Rafey in this city
The victim was identified as Sugeldy Arias, 47 years old. Her body was found on June 3rd in a ravine in the aforementioned community, an event that caused consternation among residents of the sector.
According to preliminary investigations, the incident occurred after midnight, when the woman was sharing time with the now-accused on a street in La Emboscada.
The authorities maintain that there is sufficient evidence linking Olivo Casimiro to the incident, which is why they requested the imposition of pretrial detention.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office classified the case as serious and assured that it will continue to gather evidence to support the accusation in the upcoming stages of the judicial process.
The magistrate ordered that the defendant serve the coercive measure at the Rafey Men’s Correction and Rehabilitation Center, while the Public Prosecutor’s Office deepens the investigation into the case.
