Santo Domingo. – Veteran Puerto Rican urban music artist Tito El Bambino offered a revealing interview on “La Nave Podcast”, a space hosted by Venezuelan influencer Marko, where he talked about his artistic present, his most recent musical production and, especially, about his experience and admiration for Dominican businessman Santiago Matías, creator of the successful reality show “La Casa de Alofoke”.
During the conversation, Tito did not spare praise for Santiago Matías, whom he described as a visionary who achieved something never before seen in the entertainment industry. According to the interpreter, “La Casa de Alofoke” marked a before and after in traditional formats. “Santiago hacked the industry, hacked the television format. There is a before and after La Casa de Alofoke,” he assured, highlighting the Dominican producer’s ability to connect authentically with the new generations.
The Puerto Rican artist recounted how he discovered the impact of the reality show while recording music with DJ Nelson, when they decided to watch the premiere of the program. Upon observing the public’s reaction and the immediate reach of the content, he understood that it was something different. “That’s not a format, that’s a new language for television, Santiago brought something truly innovative to the world,” he expressed, comparing its influence to the revolution that reggaeton caused within the music industry at the time.

Tito also highlighted the perseverance of Santiago Matías, recalling the sacrifices and difficulties he faced on his path to success. “That’s called not giving up, that’s called being clear about what you want in life,” he affirmed, assuring that many criticisms come from people who have not experienced the pressure, failure, or tears that accompany personal and professional growth processes.
Likewise, the singer defended the philosophy of authenticity promoted by Santiago, especially within the artistic world, where many figures have been forced to fit in by acting as they really are not. “Many people were told how to speak, how to move, what to say and what not to say, and today many even have depression because they could not make decisions, personal, family, even with their sex,” commented Tito, adding that this lack of freedom has caused depression and personal conflicts in numerous artists.
For Tito El Bambino, the message from “La Casa de Alofoke” is clear: be yourself without fear of judgment and criticism from others. “Santiago told the world: be yourself, express yourself as you please, if you speak badly, go for it,” he emphasized, defending that what some categorize as “rudeness” is nothing more than a genuine manifestation of identity and freedom of expression in a historically rigid medium.
Finally, the interpreter also fondly referred to other figures in the project, such as “Fruta”, winner of the first place of the second season, whom he described as an authentic and down-to-earth person. “Fruta is a great person, he is real, like Michael and JLexis, each with their own personality,” concluded Tito, reaffirming his respect for a movement that, in his opinion, is already forcing the entire industry to rethink its rules and formats.
