Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Republic’s Institute of Meteorology (Indomet) reported that for this Thursday, a humid air mass persists entering Dominican territory, supported by the instability of a trough; consequently, this morning, cloud increases will develop with moderate showers at times and isolated wind gusts in towns of La Altagracia, San Pedro, Greater Santo Domingo, San Cristóbal, Samaná, and Monte Plata.

He also highlighted that showers will extend into the afternoon, being moderate to heavy in occasions, thunderstorms and wind gusts in Hato Mayor, Duarte, María Trinidad Sánchez, Monseñor Nouel, Sánchez Ramírez, La Vega, Santiago, Espaillat, Puerto Plata, Elías Piña and Dajabon.

For tomorrow Friday, cloudy increases will continue with local showers in La Altagracia, El Seibo, La Romana, San Pedro, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, Samaná and the greater Santo Domingo. In the afternoon, the expected humidity plus the instability of the trough will motivate moderate to heavy showers, electrical storms and wind gusts in towns of Monte Plata, Monseñor Nouel, San José de Ocoa, La Vega, Santiago, Santiago Rodríguez, San Juan, Elías Piña and in Independencia. This activity will continue at night.

The temperatures will continue to be hot during the day due to the time of year, as well as the influence of the warm east-southeast wind, becoming a little more pleasant at the end of the night, early morning and early in the morning, mainly in mountainous areas and valleys of the interior of the country.
