Santo Domingo.- The Ministry of Education of the Dominican Republic (MINERD) announced that this Monday, August 25th, the 2025-2026 school year will officially begin, summoning teachers, technicians, administrative staff and 2,664,028 students from the public, private and semi-official sectors, at all levels, cycles and modalities.
The Minister of Education, Luis Miguel De Camps, assured that the country is prepared to receive students and teachers with commitment and enthusiasm.
“Este será un año de esperanza, crecimiento y nuevas oportunidades. Invitamos a todos a sumarse con alegría a esta gran misión educativa”,
señaló De Camps.
The education portfolio emphasized that concrete measures have been implemented to improve teaching, including the continuous training of teachers, the provision of school furniture and educational resources, with the aim of ensuring a positive impact on student learning.
Likewise, the institution invited families and society to actively engage in the school year, reminding that education is a collective effort that requires collaboration and commitment from everyone.
