Paris.- Kim Kardashian has accepted the apologies of one of the accused of having participated in the robbery she was a victim of in a Paris hotel in October 2016, but has pointed out that this does not erase the trauma she suffered, which has disrupted her life and that of her family.
The social media star has considered the content of the letter that Aomar Ait Khedache, who is considered the mastermind of the armed robbery in which Kim Kardashian was robbed of jewelry worth $10 million, sent to her in August 2017, when she was imprisoned, to be “touching”.
This is what he said during the trial being held at the Paris Criminal Court.
In that missive, read by the president of the court and of which the ‘influencer’ has said she had no knowledge until now, Ait Khedache said that she was aware of the psychological damage that her action had caused him and the emotion it provoked, in addition to apologizing to him.
Kim Kardashian, between sobs, has stated that she finds it “touching” to receive those words, that she “deeply believes in the rehabilitation of people”, and that in this regard she has visited prisons and has had contact there with inmates.

But beyond indicating that he appreciates the gesture, he has underlined that the situation of the victims must be taken into account, and that in his case the robbery of October 3, 2015 “changed (his) life” and that of his family, which was disrupted.

Ait Khedache, who is 70 years old and in very poor physical condition – he needs a stenographer to relate in writing what is said in the trial and can only respond by writing in a notebook – has admitted since his arrest a few months after the events his involvement in the robbery, betrayed in any case by the DNA traces he left.
This man, with a long criminal record and many years of imprisonment behind him, who is currently on bail, could theoretically be sentenced to life imprisonment for this robbery, which had a worldwide media impact due to the victim.
The robbers’ command that broke into the exclusive hotel where Kim Kardashian and her entourage were staying while attending Paris Fashion Week in 2016, took a loot of jewelry valued at about 10 million dollars.
The trial of the ten defendants who are in the dock at the Paris Criminal Court, which began on April 28, is expected to last until May 23, when the sentence will be announced.
Another of the defendants from whom DNA traces were found, Yunice Abbas, has also admitted his involvement, although he denies the crime of kidnapping, and this despite the fact that he wrote a book entitled ‘I kidnapped Kim Kardashian’.
