CHICAGO. Pete Crow-Armstrong starred in a historic night by becoming the first Major League player to hit for the cycle during the 2026 season, also leading the Chicago Cubs’ comeback to defeat the Colorado Rockies 5-4.
The outfielder wasted no time making his presence felt in the game by hitting a leadoff home run in the first inning. He later added a triple in the third, a double in the fifth, and completed the cycle with a single to start the seventh inning.
The feat made Crow-Armstrong the thirteenth player in Cubs history to hit for the cycle and the first in the organization to do so since March 2025.

Venezuelan Pedro Ramírez hit an RBI single that tied the game, and later Matt Shaw drew a bases-loaded walk to force in the winning run and seal Chicago’s victory.
Crow-Armstrong also contributed an additional RBI with a sacrifice fly in the eighth inning, keeping the Cubs close in the score before the final comeback.
