Constanza.- A peaceful demonstration in front of the National Palace was led by the mayor of the Tireo municipality, Paul Piña, along with community members, social leaders, and representatives from various local sectors. The objective was to demand that the Central Government fulfill a series of public works that were announced starting in 2022 and which, they claim, have not been executed.
Participants have expressed concern regarding the delay of projects considered fundamental for the development of Tireo, noting that they were presented as priorities to improve the quality of life for the area’s inhabitants.
Piña specifies that the community has waited patiently for several years, but the lack of concrete progress has generated deep discontent among the residents. He further indicated that the requested works would impact essential areas such as road infrastructure, community services, and local economic development.

“We are here peacefully, but firmly, demanding what was promised to our people. Tireo deserves attention and positive responses. The needs of our people cannot continue to wait,” added the municipal executive.

Demanding immediate responses, the protesters carried signs and slogans to the attention of government authorities; while reiterating, at the same time, a willingness for dialogue that allows for solutions in the execution of pending projects.
The mobilization took place in an orderly manner in front of the Executive Branch headquarters, where representatives of said municipality called the Government’s attention to honor the commitments made to the community, and to expedite the start of priority works announced more than two years ago.
