Santo Domingo. – The Superior Electoral Court (TSE) ordered the immediate lifting of the opposition that was placed on the bank accounts of the Dominican Humanist Party (PHD), after determining that the measure constituted a manifestly illicit disturbance.
Through Ordinance TSE/0006/2026, corresponding to file no. TSE-01-0015-2026, the court ordered that Banco BHD and Banco de Reservas de la República Dominicana lift the opposition filed through bailiff act no. 145/2026, dated May 22, 2026.
The opposition had been filed by citizens Eléxido Paula Liranzo, Rafael García Filpo, Cristian Carrasco Ortiz, Mayra Méndez Silverio, Julián Burgos Bonilla, and Cristian Alexander Tejada Joaquín.
Court admits PHD lawsuit
The high electoral court declared admissible, in terms of form, the summary proceeding filed by the Dominican Humanist Party on May 29, considering that it was filed in accordance with the current legal and regulatory provisions.

Likewise, the judges rejected a plea of inadmissibility raised by the defendant, related to an alleged lack of standing of Ramón Emilio Goris Taveras to act on behalf of the political organization.

The court considered that, at the time the judicial process began, the Dominican Humanist Party had not yet held its internal convention for the election of new authorities, and therefore maintained the legitimacy of the representation exercised.
Ordinance will be notified to the parties
The decision establishes that the ordinance must be notified to all parties involved through the General Secretariat of the court.
In addition, the TSE ordered the publication of the resolution on its institutional portal and in the Electoral Contentious Bulletin for the corresponding purposes.

With this decision, the bank accounts of the Dominican Humanist Party are once again enabled, while internal and administrative procedures related to the political organization continue.
