SAN ANTONIO. Dominican basketball player David Jones-García will continue his NBA career after agreeing to a new two-way contract with the San Antonio Spurs, putting an end to the speculation that linked him to Olympiacos of Greece.

The information was disclosed by journalist Michael Scotto, from HoopsHype, who indicated that the Texas franchise decided to retain the Dominican forward after his outstanding performance during the 2025-26 season.
In recent weeks, Jones-García had been linked to Olympiacos, the reigning EuroLeague champion, and there were even reports of a supposed multi-year offer. However, the Greek club denied having presented a formal proposal, although they acknowledged their interest in the player.
With this agreement, the Dominican player is committed to remaining in the NBA and continuing his development with the Spurs and their G League affiliate, the Austin Spurs.
During the last campaign, Jones-García played 11 games with San Antonio, while in the G League he was one of the circuit’s main figures by averaging 26.2 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.8 steals per game.
His performance solidified his profile as one of the Dominican players with the greatest international potential and allowed him to earn a new vote of confidence from the Spurs organization, which will continue to bet on his growth within the NBA system.
