Santiago.– The National Police reported this Monday the arrest of another of the alleged individuals involved in the homicide of Margarita Díaz García, known as “La China”, which occurred last May 18 in the La Yagüita de Pastor sector, while the search continues for a fourth suspect who remains a fugitive.
The detainee was identified as Marino Antonio Ceballo Ureña, alias “Marinito“, 24 years old, who was wanted under judicial order No. AJ0040504-03-2026. His capture was carried out by agents of the Criminal Investigation Section (DICRIM) of Bella Vista, following intelligence and surveillance work.
According to investigations, Ceballo Ureña is allegedly linked to the murder of Díaz García, 32, a case that has generated great attention in Santiago due to the alleged participation of several people and possible links to activities related to drug trafficking.
For this same fact, José Luis Rodríguez, alias “El Ganster”, 31 years old, pointed out as one of those involved in the crime, has already been brought to justice.

Likewise, the authorities reported that Carlos Alberto Díaz Rodríguez, alias “Gatillo”, 37 years old, passed away after being wounded during an exchange of gunfire with agents of the Regional Sub-directorate of Criminal Investigation (DICRIM) in the municipal district of Hato del Yaque.
The Police indicated that investigations are ongoing and that Ruddy Manuel Morán Almonte, alias “Ruddy”, is still being actively sought for his alleged participation in the homicide. In that sense, they urged the suspect to turn himself in through the means he considers appropriate to answer to justice.
According to preliminary investigations, the murder of “La China” is believed to be related to the sale and distribution of controlled substances, a line of investigation that continues to be deepened by the authorities.
The law enforcement institution reaffirmed its commitment to continue intelligence and criminal prosecution efforts to fully clarify the case and bring all those responsible to justice.
